This site is intended to be as accessible as possible for all visitors. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA serve as a guideline.
The following points were given special consideration:
- Semantically correct HTML with ARIA attributes for screen readers
- Correct labeling of page areas and operating elements
- Sufficient color contrast between font and background
- Visual highlighting of the focused elements
- Usability with keyboard and screen reader
- Brower settings for font size are respected, layout also works with double font size.
Known restrictions and problems
The map view is not barrier-free. The page “All neighborhoods” can be used as an accessible alternative.
If JavaScript is deactivated in the browser, the content is still accessible. However, there are the following restrictions:
- The main menu cannot be opened on devices with a small screen, especially cell phones
- The search form cannot be opened
- The filter for current messages does not work
- In Questions & Answers, the answers cannot be expanded
